Whole-Family Health & Recovery
If you’ve been feeling “not quite right”, dealing with ongoing stress on the body, or trying to recover and get back to normal, it can be hard to know where to start. You might be functioning, but not thriving, or you may feel like you’ve tried a few things without getting lasting traction.
Suitable for children, teens and adults. Based in Silverdale, Auckland.
BodyLink’s Whole-Family Health & Recovery approach uses NIS (Neurological Integration System) to provide a calm, non-invasive way of supporting nervous system function and helping the body regulate and adapt more effectively.
What is NIS?
NIS stands for Neurological Integration System.
In simple terms, NIS is a non-invasive approach that helps us assess and support how the nervous system is communicating with the rest of the body.
When the nervous system is under load, the body can struggle to regulate, adapt and recover. NIS gives us a structured way to identify what may be contributing and to support better function over time.
We keep the explanation practical. You don’t need to understand every technical detail to benefit from a clear plan. Our job is to translate what we find into steps that make sense in everyday life.
Who NIS may be suitable for
NIS is often used as a whole-person starting point because it can support many different needs across ages and stages.
People consider NIS support when they want help with things like:
- general wellbeing and resilience
- stress load and nervous system regulation
- recovery support and “getting back to yourself”
- performance, stamina or feeling more stable in day-to-day life
- supporting children and teens alongside development-focused care
Because NIS can apply broadly, the best way to know if it’s the right fit is to start with an initial appointment, where we can understand your goals and what’s most relevant for you.
What you might notice over time
Everyone’s situation is different, and we avoid one-size-fits-all promises. What we aim for is meaningful improvement in how you function and feel.
Depending on the person, improvements may show up as:
- feeling more settled and resilient
- improved energy and capacity for daily life
- smoother stress response and recovery
- better ability to focus, cope and “hold” the day
- a clearer sense of what your body needs
Sometimes the first change is simply that things feel less effortful.
Or you stop feeling like you’re constantly pushing uphill..
What a session is like
NIS sessions are designed to be calm and non-invasive. We’ll explain what we’re doing in everyday language and keep the process comfortable.
In a typical session, you can expect:
- a clear check-in on how you’re doing and what’s changed
- gentle assessment and support (no invasive procedures)
- a practical plan based on what we find
- adjustments over time as your body responds
For children, we keep sessions supportive and age-appropriate.
For adults, we keep things grounded and focused on what’s most useful.
Supporting modalities we may use
Depending on your needs, your plan may include additional supportive tools. These are not used as “extras” for everyone; they’re used when they make sense for you.
Photobiomodulation (PBM)
PBM is a supportive modality that uses light-based therapy in a controlled way.
Neurosage
Neurosage is another supporting modality we may use within a broader plan.
Not sure where to start?
If you’re not sure which service fits, you don’t need to decide alone. The best next step is an initial appointment so we can understand your situation and recommend the most appropriate pathway.

What happens at the NIS appointment
The NIS initial appointment is a one-hour session that combines both consultation and treatment - available at our Silverdale clinic on Auckland's North Shore. If you already know you want NIS, this is where you start.
We’ll:
- talk through what's been going on and what you want to improve
- explore relevant history and current stressors
- assess neurological patterns that may be contributing to what you're experiencing
- carry out your first NIS treatment in the same session
- explain what we found and what we recommend going forward (n plain language)
You don't need a separate assessment before starting. The NIS initial appointment covers consultation and treatment in one focused hour.
To book, select 'NIS Initial Appointment' when booking online.
You'll leave with:
- a clear starting point
- an understanding of what support could look like
- the ability to choose your next step with confidence
